The Deccas In March
Gud ev’ning dedicated Decca fans!
The tiny month of February comes rapidly to and end and we crash headlong into March with……well, a bit of a breather actually!
Not so much a planned pit stop but we are taking the opportunity to take a quick stock of our affairs.
It’s been three whole years since The Deccas took their first steps together and we’ve covered a lot of ground in a fairly short time, playing around 100 gigs at venues and festivals around Kent and London, even The Cavern in Liverpool! Recording two EP’s and our debut album, gaining and then losing a hammond player, trying different images/outfits, making a music video, trying to stop Tony smiling in photos, musing over Phil’s beard and marvelling at the fact Dave actually moves around on stage these days! To say it’s been emotional is putting it mildly….
Our ultimate goal is to hit the “Big Time” and we’ve come to realise there’s still a long way to go, so over the next month we’re gonna polish up our performances, make over our myspace and size up our setlists, even slipping in a few covers. We wanna make “The Deccas” irresistible to all the record companies out there!! Cue evil laughter!!
The main key to any bands success is their following so we hope we can count on you to help us on our way: if you haven’t already done so, join The Deccas Groupies on facebook and then invite all your friends and so on, creating an online snowball!
Pass on these emails to those not on facebook. This will all help you keep up to date with our future gigs and help us maximise our audiences; especially when it comes to London gigs.
Buy our album!! Only a fiver and getting great reviews in a variety of press. If you can’t get to a gig you can order it directly using our new paypal banner at the top of the web page; simples!!
If you are the other side of the Atlantic you can now get hold of us via Kool Kat Music in New Jersey – https://hs69.order-vault.net/koolkatmusik.com/cgi-bin/mivavm/mm5/merchant.mvc?Session_ID=0929277f41191348b71b8998f167d990&Screen=PROD&Product_Code=The_Deccas
Come to our gigs; if you’re not sure how to get to a venue just get in touch as we may be able to offer lifts, even put on a minibus if there’s enough of ya!
The next gig should be easy for most of you; right on our doorstep we expect this place to be heaving to the rafters:
Friday 12th March – Nag’s Head, High Street, Rochester – The Deccas followed by the mighty Len Price 3!!!! Oh yes!! Free entry, easy to find and great bar; you’ll be fools to miss out!!!
Enough waffle, back to the masterplan! We hope to see you soon!
Love and stuff,
Wes, Phil, Dave and Tony

Bright Red Chords
It’s from the debut EP, Nagasha by Loomis & The Lust. A local DJ called it "the catchiest damn thing I’ve ever heard!" The EP is available now on Amazon and Itunes.
They’re finishing their second album and getting ready to start touring. They’ll be in Austin for SXSW this year!

Angela Easterling News
I have some fun shows coming up over the next few days you won’t want to miss. After all, it’s Valentines Day and my birthday! Come out and help me celebrate.
For Valentines, how about a (free!) show in a wine cellar at a romantic B&B. You can have some food and wine, hear a great show, and if you wish, reserve a room! I’ll be playing Saturday night at the Saluda Inn Wine Cellar from 8-10.
For my birthday, we have a FREE show on your lunch hour at the Cherokee County Public Library in Gaffney. Even better, everyone who comes gets a FREE lunch! (I’ve even heard a rumor there may be birthday cake). The show is from 12:15-1PM. I had so much fun the last time I played here & can’t wait to come back. Right after, I’ll be heading over to visit my friends at WGWG and play some tunes live on air. Be sure to tune in.
All the show details are below!
Wanna get me a present? Why not buy one of my CD’s for yourself or a friend? that’s the best gift I could get. Click the links below to purchase from Amazon, CDBaby or Itunes.
I’ll be heading to Memphis next week for Folk Alliance & playing 2 showcases on Thursday night. If you’re coming too, be sure to find me & say hi.
see you soon!

News From Jenny Goodspeed
Hello it’s me. It’s been awhile. There is something about January that makes me very very lazy. But I’m playing some shows in the very near future and unfortunately, I can’t do them from my living room couch. Instead I’ll be visiting some fine establishments and I hope you can come visit them with me.
I’ve been spending more and more time with my gals – i.e. the new trio, The Boxcar Lilies. Making music with others is what it’s all about. You can catch us in Western Mass both this Saturday in Easthampton and a couple weeks from then in Turners Falls.
I’m really happy to be doing a solo gig opening for the fabulous folk trio Red Molly in Plymouth, MA. Tickets are selling fast, so make sure to get them soon. Details for all the shows are below.
If you want to keep closer tabs on The Boxcar Lilies – sign up for our mailing list atwww.boxcarlilies.com/contact.html.
Finally, I imagine we’re all thinking of the people of Haiti. I researched some alternatives for donating to organizations who are on the ground and already helping and I thought I would share them.
